Martyn Griffin is a Senior Lecturer in Organization Studies at the Sheffield University Management School, where he joined in 2022. He previously held academic positions at Durham University and the University of Leeds. His interdisciplinary research spans workplace democracy, cultural representations of work, freedom in organizations, and inclusion in management learning.

His recent publications highlight trends in organizational ethics, democratic practices, and pandemic-induced workplace stress. He has secured significant funding through the ESRC Future Leaders Grant project titled A Democracy to Come?, and he actively contributes to management education through experiential learning techniques, including the use of films and fiction to contextualize organizational concepts.
