Martina Sproll

Prof. Dr. Martina Sproll is a Professor of Social Sciences at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, specializing in structural change and the welfare state from an international perspective since 2016. She has held roles at institutions including the Institute for Social Research in Frankfurt (2000–2008), the international research network desiguALdades.net, and the Latin American Institute of the Free University of Berlin.

• Research expertise: Labour and industrial sociology, transnational value chains, social inequality (with a focus on gender, class, and ethnicity/race), and the political economy of Latin America.
• Current leadership: Program director of the international Master's program Labor Policies and Globalization (Global Labour University) at the Berlin Professional School since 2017.
