Prof. Dr. Gale Raj-Reichert is a Lecturer in Economic Geography at Queen Mary University of London's School of Geography since 2017 and a Visiting Researcher at the WZB Social Science Center in Berlin since 2021. Her research focuses on global production networks (GPNs), labour governance, and transnational supply chain dynamics. She leads the DFG-funded project 'Global production post Covid-19' examining geographical restructuring in global production networks. Previously, she held roles as a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow (2014-2016) and Lecturer in International Development at the University of Manchester.
Her work addresses issues like socially responsible public procurement, forced labour in electronics industries, and the role of digitalisation in labour dynamics. Key projects include analyzing EU procurement policies' impact on global supply chains and investigating occupational health gaps in Malaysian electronics manufacturing.
