Martina Rossi

Martina Rossi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz, an institute of the Max Planck Society since 2002. Her position places her within one of the world's leading research institutions dedicated to art history in transcultural and global perspectives, with particular focus on Italy, Europe and the Mediterranean region.

Dr. Rossi's research interests focus on the intersection of performing arts and visual culture in post-war Italy, with particular emphasis on neo-avant-garde movements. Her work bridges multiple disciplinary boundaries, connecting theater studies with art history and examining how publishing houses functioned as cultural spaces for artistic experimentation.
