She leads the Productive Coasts research program within UTS's Climate Change Cluster (C3) and holds roles in multiple marine science organizations. Her expertise spans marine microbiology, climate change impacts, and ecosystem resilience. Doblin's research focuses on algal communities' responses to environmental change and their applications in bio-industries. She has secured over $10M in grants and contributed to policy through marine consulting. Key roles include Board memberships in marine observing systems and the National Marine Sciences Committee. Her education includes a PhD from the University of Tasmania and a BSc (Hons) from Monash University. Professional certifications include the GAICD and a Developing Strategic Thinking program from Melbourne Business School.
- Education: PhD (University of Tasmania), BSc (Monash University)
- Research Focus: Algal resilience, climate change effects, marine contaminants, and biotechnological applications
- Grants: Over $10M from ARC and other sources
- Awards: Fulbright Visiting Scholar, GAICD
- Key Institutions: UTS, SIMS, C3 Research Institute
Her recent work includes studies on dinoflagellate taxonomy, microbial trait evolution, and pharmaceutical pollution in estuaries.
