Martin Simpson

Dr Martin Simpson serves as Senior Lecturer in Modern European History and History Programme Leader within the Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries, and Education (ACE) at the University of the West of England.

His research centers on modern French history with emphasis on the French right, national identity, and commemorative practices. Key investigation areas include:
