Dominique Laporte is an Associate Professor in the Department of French, Spanish and Italian at the Faculty of Arts, University of Manitoba. His work focuses on 19th-century French literature, Franco-Canadian cultural history, and the preservation of French-speaking communities in Western Canada. He has chaired the Graduate Studies Committee and actively supervises graduate students.
