Elise Lavallée serves as an Instructor (Lecturer) at the University of Manitoba's Desautels Faculty of Music, teaching viola and chamber music while coaching orchestra and string sectionals. She concurrently holds the position of acting Principal Viola with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

Her professional focus centers on music performance and education, maintaining an active viola teaching studio and delivering lectures on music careers, wellness, and appreciation. Lavallée actively engages the francophone community through initiatives like Les Grands Concerts de la Cathédrale St-Boniface and Les Café-Concerts at the Franco-Manitoban Cultural Centre.
For over 15 years, she has contributed as a columnist for Radio-Canada Manitoba and CJOB Manitoba while hosting the WSO podcast series The Silence Between. Her administrative roles include board membership on the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and Rosamunde Summer Music Academy, alongside hosting WSO Pre-concert Talks.
