Jacquie Dawson is an Associate Professor and Director of Bands at the Desautels Faculty of Music, University of Manitoba. She conducts the Concert Band and Wind Ensemble, while teaching Instrumental Music Methods and overseeing the Graduate Wind Band Conducting program. Her career spans over two decades of impact on Manitoba's wind band community.

Dawson founded the Winnipeg Chamber Winds Collective and co-founded the Winnipeg Youth Wind Ensemble, continuing to mentor young musicians while serving as Treasurer of the Canadian Band Association. She presents at international conferences like the Canadian Music Educators’ Association National Conference and the International Society for the Research and Promotion of Wind Music Conference.
