Dr. Martin Müller is a Research Associate at the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden (IPF) since 1994 and a part-time lecturer at the Department of Chemistry and Food Chemistry, Technical University of Dresden. His research focuses on surface and polymer characterization using advanced techniques such as FTIR spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and dynamic light scattering.
- Education: Chemistry degree from Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg (1982-1988), Diploma thesis under PD A. Blume/Prof. T. Ackermann (1987-1988), Dissertation at ETH Zurich (1989-1993) under Prof. UP Fringeli
- Academic Milestones: Habilitation at Technical University of Dresden (2004)
Müller's work spans polyelectrolyte multilayers, drug carrier systems, and bioadhesion mechanisms, with applications in biomedical materials and tissue engineering. His research contributes to the Collaborative Research Center/Transregio 79 on materials for tissue regeneration in systemically diseased bone. Scientific awards include a 2001 travel grant from the Dr. Herrmann Schnell Foundation and a 2003 poster prize at REACT. He is affiliated with the GDCh (German Chemical Society), American Chemical Society (ACS), and German Society for Materials Science.
