معرفی
Dr. Martin Lehmann is the Head of the Cellular Imaging Facility at the Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie (FMP) in Berlin, Germany. He leads a team specializing in advanced microscopy and image analysis, supporting research in molecular physiology and cell biology. His facility integrates confocal microscopy, super-resolution techniques, electron microscopy, and computational image analysis to address biological and pharmacological questions.
Education: Studied biophysics in Berlin and earned a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Geneva. Since 2018, he has directed the Cellular Imaging platform, providing cutting-edge imaging solutions for FMP researchers. Key research focuses include studying tight junctions, mitochondrial structure, and drug mechanism analysis via microscopy.
Research Interests: Molecular composition of cellular structures, super-resolution imaging, correlative light-electron microscopy (CLEM), and quantitative image analysis. His team develops custom workflows for fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS), FLIM, and TIRF microscopy.
Recent work includes collaborations on mitochondrial modeling (with Fan Liu) and synaptic vesicle studies (EMBO, 2022). The facility also offers training in advanced microscopy techniques and image analysis software (e.g., Fiji, Imaris).
