Martin Knupfer

Prof. Martin Knupfer is an Adjunct Professor at Freiberg University of Mining and Technology and Head of the Department of Electronic and Optical Properties at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden (IFW Dresden). His research centers on experimental condensed matter physics and advanced materials characterization.

His primary research focuses on organic semiconductors, high-temperature superconductors, and carbon nanostructures within strongly correlated electron systems. He employs specialized spectroscopic techniques including photoemission spectroscopy, electron energy-loss spectroscopy, and X-ray absorption spectroscopy to investigate electronic properties of molecular solids and low-dimensional materials.
