Associate Professor Martin Kerby specializes in curriculum and pedagogy at the University of Southern Queensland's School of Education. His interdisciplinary research bridges historical education, museum studies, and artistic responses to conflict, with a focus on Australia's role in the Great War.
He has secured numerous competitive grants including a Department of Veterans Affairs grant (2008), ANZAC Centenary funding (2015), and a Princeton University Library Research Grant (2019). His museum development work includes curating the Pentagon exhibition 'The Kangaroo and the Eagle: Allies in War and Peace'.
Key historical research areas include: biographical methodology, Queensland's wartime experience, and commemoration practices. He holds a BA (UQ), GDipT (McAuley College), GDipArts (ACU), MA (American Military University), and PhD (ANU).
