Martin Gullberg is a Professor at the Department of Molecular Biology at Umeå University, Sweden. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms governing cellular processes such as microtubule dynamics, septin complex assembly, and their roles in cell polarization and disease. He has published extensively in leading journals including Molecular Biology of the Cell, Experimental Cell Research, and EMBO J.
His work spans subfields like:
- Septin-Microtubule Interactions
- Chromosomal Instability in Leukemia
- Signal Transduction in T Cell Responses
- Bacterial Protein Secretion Systems
The most recent publications highlight his contributions to understanding the Swedish pandemic response policies (2023) and Vibrio cholerae pathogenesis (2020), alongside foundational work on septins and tubulin regulation (2014–2004).
