Martin Eugene Callanan is an Associate Professor in Archaeology at the Department of Historical and Classical Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research focuses on glacial archaeology, mountain archaeology, prehistoric hunting weapons, Sami archaeology, and the intersection of cultural heritage with climate change.

- Organizer in UISPP's HOME (Human Occupations of Mountain Landscapes) Commission
- Lead projects on VR integration in archaeology education (VR-Learn, 2020)
