Dr. Martin Compton is the College Lead for AI and Innovation in Education and College Lead for Programme, Module and Assessment Design at King's Academy, King's College London, which he joined from UCL in June 2023. With over 30 years of experience in education, his work spans schools, colleges, and universities globally, focusing on equity-centred approaches, generative AI, and digital pedagogy.
His research interests include
- Compassionate pedagogy
- De-centring grades through feedback mechanisms
- AI literacy in higher education
- Curriculum and assessment design in hybrid/online environments
