Martin Barker is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen's School of Biological Sciences, where he has served since 2009. His academic roles include elected positions on University Court (2023-present) and Senate (2017-2020, 2023-present), along with responsibilities as Senior Personal Tutor, Disabilities Coordinator, and Honorary Quaker Chaplain. Externally, he serves as President of the Friends of the Cruickshank Botanic Garden.
