Martijn de Vries is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and a Tinbergen Institute Finance Candidate Fellow. He holds a PhD in Finance from Tilburg University (2022). His research focuses on financial decision-making and asset pricing, particularly exploring how non-standard beliefs and preferences influence investor behavior and asset market characteristics. He teaches Quantitative Investing and leads the GAK project on risk aversion differences in pension investments.
His research collaborations span institutions like Netspar, Universiteit van Amsterdam, and the University of Amsterdam.
