Martha Sajatovic, MD is a Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She holds the Willard Brown Chair in Neurological Outcomes at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (UH CMC) and the Rocco L. Motto Professorship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. As Director of the Geropsychiatry Program and Director of the Neurological and Behavioral Outcomes Center at UHCMC/CWRU, she focuses on neuropsychiatric outcomes of brain disorders across the lifespan. Her work spans epilepsy, stroke, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and Parkinson's disease. She also studies self-management of chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes, health disparities, and clinical trial assessment tools.
Education: MD from Medical College of Ohio (1982). She is board-certified in Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry. Dr. Sajatovic has secured grants from NIH institutes (NIA, NIMH, NINR), CDC, VA, and private foundations. With over 250 peer-reviewed publications and 40 book chapters, her research emphasizes treatment adherence, health promotion, and clinical trial methodologies. She has lectured globally and received prestigious awards for clinical and research excellence.
