Martha Radice is an Associate Professor and Undergraduate Coordinator in the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at Dalhousie University, within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Her work focuses on urban anthropology, public space, multiculturalism, and applied research. Dr. Radice holds a BA Hons from the University of Sussex, an MA from Université Laval, and a PhD from the Insitut national de la recherche scientifique.
Her research explores urban dynamics, including carnival practices in New Orleans, public art, and neighbourhood change. Notable projects include the Canada-wide Neighbourhood Change Research Project and interdisciplinary collaborations with NSCAD University. She has been awarded a New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation Archive Fellowship (2017) and a SSHRC Insight Grant (2018–2023).

Dr. Radice serves on the Board of Érudit, advocates for open access publishing, and has leadership roles in academic societies, including past presidency of the Canadian Anthropology Society and co-chairing its 2019 joint conference with the American Anthropological Association.
Her cross-appointments include Canadian Studies and the School of Planning, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach to urban and cultural studies.
