Martha Haley-Bowling is a Professor of Social Work and Program Coordinator of Social Work at Ferrum College. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider, her work bridges academic leadership with clinical expertise.

Her clinical focus spans trauma, grief/loss, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions including PTSD, postpartum depression, and anxiety. She employs evidence-based practices such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness techniques in treatment.
