Martha Blaess, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, RDN, LD, is an Assistant Professor in both the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at the Doisy College of Health Sciences, Saint Louis University. She holds a Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Baylor University.
Her research focuses on interprofessional collaboration between dietitians (RDs) and speech-language pathologists (SLPs), feeding/swallowing disorders in children with autism and developmental disabilities, and the impact of family meal times on nutrition and communication. She is affiliated with professional organizations including the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Missouri Speech-Language-Hearing Association, International Association for Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
