Martha Biddle

Martha Biddle, PhD, APRN, CCNS, FAHA is a Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing and Chair of Student Scholarly Affairs. She specializes in biobehavioral and nutritional interventions for cardiovascular risk reduction and is certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

• Doctoral: PhD in Nursing, University of Kentucky (2011)

Her research focuses on dietary antioxidants in heart failure patients and secondary prevention interventions for cardiovascular disease. She co-directs the RICH Heart Research Program, which manages NIH- and PCORI-funded projects.

Dr. Biddle mentors undergraduate research interns, teaches in the DNP and PhD programs, and chairs the Advancement of Student Scholarly Affairs Council. Her grant funding includes support from the UK Center for Clinical and Translational Science, NIH/NIOSH, Southern Nursing Research Society, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She serves as President of the Delta Psi Chapter for Sigma Theta Tau International and maintains a clinical practice at the UK CCTS procedures lab.
