Martha A. Pagliari is the Assistant Dean of Experiential Learning and a Professor of Legal Practice at DePaul University College of Law. She holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from DePaul University. Her expertise spans legal writing pedagogy, clinical legal education, and litigation practice, with a focus on medical malpractice, employment law, and torts. She has been a full-time faculty member since joining DePaul.
Her professional background includes over a decade as a litigation partner at Cassiday Schade & Gloor, specializing in medical malpractice, products liability, and employment law representation. At DePaul, she teaches Legal Analysis, Research & Communication, emphasizing practical skills for law students.
Dr. Pagliari has presented at national conferences, including panels on legal writing’s role in institutional assessment and rhetorical strategies in legal reasoning at the 2011 AALS Meetings in San Francisco. She is licensed in Illinois and a member of the Federal Trial Bar.
