Dr. Marta Lipinska-Chwalek is a researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, affiliated with the Ernst Ruska Center for Electron Microscopy and Spectroscopy (ER-C). She works within the Physics of Nanoscale Systems group (ER-C-1), focusing on advanced electron microscopy applications in nanoscale materials research. Her position is based at Building 05.2s, Room 3002 in Jülich, Germany.
Her research centers on cutting-edge electron microscopy techniques for characterizing quantum materials and nanoscale systems. This involves high-resolution imaging and spectroscopic analysis to investigate structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of novel materials at atomic scales. The work has significant implications for quantum computing, spintronics, and next-generation electronic devices.
As part of the ER-C - a leading European center for electron microscopy - she contributes to collaborative projects across the Helmholtz Association and international research networks. The center provides state-of-the-art instrumentation including aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopes and specialized sample preparation facilities.
