Marta Chevalier is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Mississippi, College of Liberal Arts. She has been teaching French at the university since 2003 and also contributes to the Intensive English Program, delivering language, grammar, and cultural English instruction.

Her work bridges formal classroom instruction and extracurricular engagement through student clubs.
Marta Chevalier serves as Faculty Advisor for the UM French Club and Éclaircir: À la Découverte du Bouquin Book Club, fostering student engagement in French language and literature. She is the instructor for online distance-learning French courses, demonstrating adaptability to digital education platforms.
She teaches a range of courses including FR 101, FR 102, FR 201, FR 202, FR 111, FR 211, FR 303, FR 304, and EDHE 105 (Freshman Year Experience).
