Marshall Taylor is an Affiliate Artist in the School of Music at Cairn University, where he has taught Applied Saxophone and Chamber Ensemble since 2003. He holds a Master of Music from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Music from Wheaton College, complemented by studies at the Paris Conservatoire under a Fulbright grant.
Taylor's performance expertise spans recitals, orchestral work, and contemporary collaborations, with a specialized focus on:
- Saxophone technique and pedagogy
- Chamber music repertoire development
- Contemporary composition interpretation
- Historical music restitution projects
He maintains an active international performance career across Europe, Japan, and the United States, having premiered works by composers including Milton Babbitt, Luciano Berio, and Terry Riley. His scholarly contribution includes co-directing concerts of Entartete Musik, preserving works banned by Nazi Germany.
