Marsha Guntharp

Dr. Marsha Guntharp serves as Professor of Mathematics at Palm Beach Atlantic University's School of Liberal Arts and Sciences since 2007, following 11 years of teaching experience at a university in Ohio and prior secondary education teaching roles. She holds a PhD in Educational Theory and Practice, MA in Mathematics, and BS in Education-Mathematics from Ohio State University.

Dr. Guntharp's research focuses on technology integration in mathematics education to enhance student engagement. She has secured multiple technology grants including AT&T-funded TI-Nspire calculators with wireless systems and FCTM-funded robotic cars for calculator-based mathematical coding. Her dissertation explored technology's impact on teacher beliefs through a case study of a high-school physics teacher integrating mathematics with technology.

She has held leadership roles on the Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics (FCTM) executive board and PBA Faculty Senate, and collaborates with physics professor Dr. Fred Browning on educational technology research and presentations at the Teachers Teaching with Technology International Conference.

Dr. Guntharp co-designed technology-rich curricula with grants enabling wireless document transfer systems and robotics-based mathematical coding platforms. She teaches science-oriented honors classes covering cosmology's history, philosophy, and theology.
