Marlou Schrover is a Professor of Economic and Social History at Leiden University and holds an LDE Professorship at Erasmus University. Her research focuses on migration, gender, ethnicity, and class, with over 180 publications. She co-founded the interdisciplinary Governance of Migration and Diversity (GMD) master's program and the Journal of Migration History. Schrover has supervised over 45 PhD candidates and currently advises 21 students. Her awards include NWO Veni, Aspasia, Vici, and NWA grants.
She teaches courses on migration, global interdependence, and historical methods.
