Marlo M. Mitchell-Gonzalez

Dr. Marlo M. Mitchell-Gonzalez is an Assistant Professor of School Psychology at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLUSA), located in San Antonio, Texas. She holds a PhD in Educational Psychology with a School Psychology specialization from Texas Tech University, an MA in School Psychology from Trinity University, and a BS in Psychology from Texas State University.

Her research and professional interests focus on cognitive, achievement, and psychological assessment methodologies, particularly in determining eligibility criteria for special education services. Dr. Mitchell-Gonzalez emphasizes practical skill development in her teaching, prioritizing ethical practice, diversity advocacy, and behavioral analysis for aspiring school psychologists. She is licensed as a Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) and maintains active membership in key organizations including the Texas Association of School Psychologists (TASP), National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), and APA Divisions 15 (Educational Psychology) and 16 (School Psychology).
