Marlan Scully

Marlan Scully is a Professor at Princeton University (since 2005) and holds the Burgess Distinguished Professor title at Texas A&M University (since 1996). He has held faculty positions at institutions including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of New Mexico, and University of Arizona, and is an external scientific member of the Max-Planck-Institut für Quantenoptik since 1980.

Research Interests: Marlan Scully specializes in quantum optics, combining theoretical and experimental approaches to advance understanding of quantum mechanics, light-matter interactions, and foundational optical physics. His work bridges quantum theory with practical applications in laser physics and quantum information science.
