Markus Gitterle

Prof. Dr. Markus Gitterle is a Professor at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) with significant administrative responsibilities. He serves as Chair of the Examination Committee for the Master's Program in Computational Engineering (TBM), Deputy Chairman of the Examination Committee for Digital Engineering (DEB), and Co-director of the Bachelor Digital Engineering program at MUC. His industrial collaboration includes working with AdjuCor GmbH.

His research specializes in:

• Biomechanics – Developing implantable heart support systems via the SMARTHEART project
• Computational mechanics – Finite element analysis and structural/contact mechanics
