Markus Dahm

Prof. Dr.-Ing. M.Sc. Markus Dahm is a Professor of Informatik und Software-Ergonomie at Hochschule Düsseldorf (HSD), Faculty of Media. He joined HSD in 2004 after prior roles at FH Gelsenkirchen (2001–2004) and industry positions at T-Systems (1998–2001).

• Teaching: Courses include Object-Oriented Programming 1/2, Human-Computer Interaction, Interactive Systems, and Media Projects (A/B) across B.Eng. and B.Sc. programs.
• Research: Focuses on usability engineering, didactic tools for programming beginners, and interactive display technologies (e.g., LCD, eInk).
• Leadership: Serves as Studiendekan (Dean) and coordinates the Media Informatics program. Involved in the Software Ergonomie (Software Ergonomics) group of the Gesellschaft für Informatik (German Society for Computer Science).
• Projects: Led the meinMoodle platform development for student dashboards, course scheduling, and group management.

Publications: Authored books like Grundlagen der Mensch-Computer-Interaktion (2005) and contributed to Java programming literature.
