Marko Sukačić is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Legal History and Roman Law at the Faculty of Law, JJ Strossmayer University of Osijek. He holds a PhD in Roman Law and specializes in Roman private law, legal history, and consumer protection in ancient contexts. His research focuses on Roman legal traditions, contractual validity, and historical legal theories. He actively participates in international conferences and has published widely on topics like pactum displicentiae, slave-sellers' liability, and ancient consumer protection laws. Sukačić has received scholarships for research at institutions like the Europa-Institut (Saarbrücken), University of Freiburg, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, and the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory.
