Mark Winegardner is the Janet Burroway Professor of English at Florida State University, serving as Associate Chair for Graduate Studies. He has also received grants from organizations such as the Ohio Arts Council and the Corporation of Yaddo.
Winegardner’s work spans fiction, non-fiction, and literary journalism. His novels, including Crooked River Burning and The Godfather Returns, have achieved international acclaim and bestseller status. He contributes to ESPN the Magazine and The Oxford American, exploring topics like art forgery, Cuban defectors, and baseball culture.
