Mark Widdowfield is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the MEd in Health Professions Education at the University of Sunderland. He holds a BSc in Pharmacology from the University of Liverpool, a Postgraduate Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (Teesside University). He is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA) and currently pursuing a PhD investigating healthcare professionals' daily interactions, with a focus on Actor-Network Theory.

Research Interests: Inter-professional collaboration, curriculum design, professional regulation, and qualitative methodologies. Clinical Background: Over a decade in interventional radiology, cardiac catheter labs, and medical device design for thoraco-abdominal aneurysms.
