Mark W. Addicks serves as the Opus Chair in Marketing Innovation at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business, bringing extensive industry experience to his academic role. Previously, he retired as Chief Marketing Officer of General Mills after 26 years of service, where he managed billion-dollar brands including Cheerios and pioneered digital marketing initiatives.
His research interests focus on practical applications of marketing innovation, with particular expertise in brand management, digital transformation in food marketing, and corporate social responsibility programs. Addicks championed General Mills' Box Tops for Education initiative, which raises over $80 million annually for U.S. schools, and established the company as a top-five food content provider across digital platforms.
