Dr. Mark Tremblay is a full Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Medicine. He serves as Senior Research Scientist and Director of the Healthy Active Living and Obesity Research group at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute. Additionally, he is Chief Scientific Officer for Active Healthy Kids Canada. His research focuses on childhood obesity, physical activity measurement, exercise physiology, and exercise endocrinology. He received an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from Nipissing University in 2011, during which he delivered the convocation address.
Research Interests: Dr. Tremblay’s work emphasizes translational research to address childhood obesity through physiological and behavioral interventions. His multidisciplinary approach integrates clinical, epidemiological, and public health strategies to promote active living and healthy lifestyles in youth.
