Mark Travis is a Professor of Immunology at the University of Manchester, leading the Division of Immunology, Immunity to Infection & Respiratory Medicine. He holds positions in the Lydia Becker Institute and the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell-Matrix Research. His work focuses on immune regulation at mucosal barriers, particularly the lung and intestine, with a focus on TGF-beta activation mediated by integrins. Key research areas include understanding how immune responses are controlled to prevent autoimmune diseases and infections.
