Dr. Alan Levine is a Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, with appointments in five departments: Molecular Biology and Microbiology, Pharmacology, Medicine, Pathology, and Pediatrics. His research focuses on intestinal host defense, toggling between immune tolerance and immune protection in conditions like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), HIV/SARS-CoV-2 infections, and opioid use disorder.
