معرفی
Mark Stocksdale is a Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Biochemistry at Earlham College. He specializes in organic chemistry, focusing on the synthesis of biologically and structurally interesting molecules, particularly phytosiderophore analogs for targeted delivery in grass species.
Education
- Ph.D., University of Notre Dame
- M.S., Ball State University
- B.S., Taylor University
Research Interests
His research addresses reducing environmental impacts of agrochemicals by designing phytosiderophore analogs to target grasses for molecular delivery. Collaborations include molecular biologists for growth studies, utilizing NMR and chromatography. Students present findings at scientific conferences.
Grants & Projects
- NSF Major Research Instrumentation Grant (2002-2005) for a 400 MHz NMR spectrometer
- USDA-NRI Seed Grant (2007-2009) for phytosiderophore uptake studies
- Merck/AAAS Undergraduate Science Research Program (2003-2005)
Labs & Collaboration
Based in Stanley Hall, he mentors students in advanced instrumentation and interdisciplinary research.
