Mark Schmuckler is a Professor at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) and has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses for 25 years. He currently serves as Vice-Dean Undergraduate, overseeing all aspects of undergraduate programs, curriculum innovation, academic integrity, and student support provisions.

- Expert in music pitch structure perception
His research bridges developmental psychology and auditory cognitive neuroscience. He has collaborated with notable researchers such as Dennis Proffitt and David Gilden.
As Vice-Dean, he leads committees including Course Evaluations, Quality Assurance, and the Dean’s Advisory Committee. His academic journey began with dual undergraduate degrees in music (piano performance) and psychology, followed by a Ph.D. at Cornell University and postdoctoral work at the University of Virginia.
