Mark Sawkin

Dr. Mark Sawkin is Clinical Professor at UMKC School of Pharmacy and ambulatory care pharmacist at KC CARE Health Center. Credentialed as an HIV specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.

Teaches HIV pharmacotherapy and provides medication management for chronic diseases. Directs the PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency and advises public health student organizations.

Research focuses on HIV prevention (PrEP/PEP), health literacy, and pharmacist-led STI screening services in underserved communities.
