Mark Robinson is an Associate Research Scientist at the Yale School of Medicine, affiliated with the Medical Oncology and Hematology department and the Müschen Lab. He holds a PhD in Molecular Biology & Bioinformatics from Cardiff University (2017) and postdoctoral experience at Imperial College London (2019) and City of Hope (2020).
His research focuses on computational hematology-oncology, integrating clinical, transcriptional, proteomic, and phosphoproteomic data to uncover therapeutic vulnerabilities in B-cell malignancies. Key contributions include the oncogenic convergence theory, which proposes that divergent pathway activation can synergize with driver inhibition for novel cancer therapies, and discoveries related to PI3K amplification loops and NAD+ salvage pathways in leukemia. His work extends to pan-cancer analyses of oncogenic pathway interactions.
Robinson's recent publications highlight mechanisms such as β-catenin degradation pathways, IFITM3 as a PIP3 scaffold, and STAT5/ERK mutational segregation in B-ALL. He collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, including clinicians and bench scientists, to translate findings into therapeutic strategies.
