Mark Opirhory is an art instructor teaching drawing and painting at the New York Academy of Art. He holds an MFA from the New York Academy of Art (2009) and BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts (2003). His teaching portfolio includes color theory, figure drawing, art history, and digital photography.
Artistic practice explores:
- Biological forms in growth/decay cycles
- Nature-inspired abstraction
- Personal narrative through mixed media
Exhibitions include 'Mitosis' solo show (Hersch Fine Art, 2015) and group exhibitions at Field Projects NYC and Capla Kesting Fine Art. His pedagogical approach integrates technical training with conceptual development across traditional and digital media.
