Mark LeDoux

Dr. Mark LeDoux is an Affiliate Research Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Memphis. He holds dual expertise in clinical practice and basic neuroscience, focusing on movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, and spasticity. His clinical work includes deep brain stimulation, botulinum toxin therapies, and clinical trials. He is internationally recognized as a leader in movement disorder research, serving on editorial boards of Neurology and Tremor and Other Hyperkinetic Movements, and chairs the Board of Medical Advisors for the National Spasmodic Torticollis Association.

Dr. LeDoux’s research spans neurogenetics, cell cycle control in the CNS, and neural circuitry. He has authored/co-authored over 150 peer-reviewed articles, three books (including Movement Disorders: Genetics and Models), and holds prestigious awards like the Dystonia Doctor of Excellence Award and the British Medical Association Medical Book Award.
