Mark Lambert is an Assistant Professor in Behavioral Medicine, Medical Humanities and Bioethics, and the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Program. His work bridges bioethics, indigenous studies, and religious studies, focusing on stigmatized diseases like Hansen’s disease (leprosy), HIV/AIDS, and neglected tropical diseases, particularly their impact on marginalized communities in the U.S., including Hawai’i. He is also exploring the historical development of osteopathy, emphasizing A.T. Still’s engagement with Shawnee medical practices.
