Mark L.M. Blair is a Teaching Professor in the American Indian Studies Department and Associate Director of the Master of Legal Studies Program at the University of Arizona's James E. Rogers College of Law. He holds a Ph.D. and LL.M. from the University of Arizona (2015 and 2008), a J.D. from the same law school (2007), an M.B.A. from Saint Leo University (2004), and an A.B. from Dartmouth College (1994).
His research focuses on intersections of Indigenous legal systems, tribal governance, and cultural anthropology. He has extensive experience in academic administration, including roles as Director of Graduate Studies (2015–2016) and Senior Program Coordinator (2012–2016) in American Indian Studies.
Blair has advised students through University College and taught at Pima Community College. His professional background includes administrative roles at the Native Nations Institute and the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy.
