Mark Jonas is an Associate Professor of Biology at Purchase College, SUNY. His research focuses on mechanisms shaping plant adaptation to climate change, particularly the genetics and epigenetics of adaptation to future carbon dioxide conditions in Arabidopsis thaliana. He is also committed to broadening student participation in STEM through initiatives like the NIH-funded Bridges to the Baccalaureate Program and the MARC U*STAR Honors Program.
