Mark James is Lecturer in Graphic Communication and Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Graphic Design with Typography at the University of Plymouth's School of Art, Design and Architecture. He leads design research modules and serves as co-editor of 'Message: Graphic Communication Design Research,' an international peer-reviewed journal.
His teaching integrates studio practice with theoretical frameworks, focusing on graphic design's societal impact and sustainability considerations. James also serves as External Examiner for Contextual Studies at Ravensbourne University London.
